yes well thought I better keep Tread happy and show that I have not forgotten this campaign.

This is an Australian short 25lb field gun. The base kit was the Tamiya 25lb kit and of course a lot of scratch building

the carriage in it's jig while the glue dries.

the main bits

the action bit

the carrage joint.

still to make are the spade at the rear and also I have to alter the handbrake position as it is wrong.

any and all comments welcome

Nice one Roo. I was pleased with my effort, but I guess that scratchbuilding the whole carriage instead of using the Tamiya front end was really the way to go to get the most accurate model.
Way to go man.

Coming along quite nicely there MrRoo! (And this from somebody that knows just about nothing of the 25-pounder!) I am assuming that you are scratching the frame and turning the brass on your own?

Bravo Cliff. It will be another fantastic piece for the shelf of honor when you are finished. Looking forward to seeing more of this project.

Hey, hey, hey now.....don't get your Aussie blood a boilin'! Just because your standing upside down (on the bottom of the world) doesn't mean the blood has to run to your head!

Actually, I've been just barely scanning the Forum's lately and have gotten really behind.
So, I starting looking for a few (to 'Roo ).
My dear SIR...your 25-pounder 'short', in Aussie clothes is quite the build! I have just recently built the very same arty piece (OOB), and I must say, I barely recognize any of the pieces from the kit in your pics. That's probably because there aren't many!
You carriage doesn't look anything like mine (this is a good thing). But I do like those multi-coloured dodads in your first photo, they really add to the camoflage effect your probably going for....right?
Is the Aussie carraige that much different?......apparently so. And you are doing your usual 'envy' meter pegging work on it.
Keep us informed.
And I promise to pay better attention next time.

Tread.

Now it's off to find the 3-Tonner thread............

Jason, do you mean you can't see any pics on the whole site at all, or just this thread ? Roo deleted the pics from his gallery, so the links no longer work.

Are you by any chance going through the 'archives'? Because in that case you will come across this a lot. If people delete pictures from their gallery space, the red xx's will show up. Any features, reviews etc should not suffer from this, as the images for those are stored in a separate gallery.

Cheers
Henk
